2026年4月17日下午，由学院中国学生和来华留学生组队参加的上海大学悉尼工商学院第十五届学生足球友谊赛在嘉定校区绿茵场顺利举行。国际部主任顾浩东致开幕辞，重申“以体育活动促进相互了解”的赛事宗旨，深刻阐释体育竞技在跨文化交流、文明互鉴中的独特价值。学生代表张云喆、Giorgio Bordiga先后发言，共同表达以球会友、切磋共进、深化跨文化理解与青年友谊的美好期许。

On the afternoon of April 17, 2026, the 15th SILC Football Friendly Match, contested by teams formed by Chinese students and international students at SILC, was successfully held on the football field of Jiading Campus.

Gu Haodong, Director of the International Office, SILC Business School, delivered the opening speech, reaffirming the mission of "promoting mutual understanding through sports" and profoundly elaborating on the unique value of sports competition in cross‑cultural exchange and mutual learning among civilizations. Student representatives Zhang Yunzhe and Giorgio Bordiga delivered speeches in succession, jointly expressing the aspiration to make friends through football, learn from each other, deepen cross-cultural understanding, and strengthen friendship among young people.

下午14:00，本届足球友谊赛正式拉开战幕。比赛进程紧张而友好，前三节双方攻防有序、互有攻守。第三节，来华留学生队凭借连续角球机会把握战机破门得分，以1:0取得领先。中国学生队奋力反扑、积极追分，但未能改写比分。终场哨响，来华留学生队捧起冠军奖杯，本届赛事圆满收官。

The match officially kicked off at 14:00. The game was intense yet friendly, with both sides displaying organized offense and defense in the first three periods. In the third quarter, the international student team seized the opportunity from consecutive corner kicks and scored to take a 1‑0 lead. The Chinese student team fought back hard in search of an equalizer but was unable to change the score. When the final whistle blew, the international student team lifted the championship trophy, bringing a successful close to the event.

Using sports as a bridge, culture as a medium, and competitions to unite hearts is an important part of the SILC’s internationalization strategy. As a traditional branded sports event hosted by SILC Business School for 15 consecutive years, the SILC Football Friendly Match with the participation of Chinese and international students has long transcended the game itself. It has become an iconic platform for SILC Business School to advance campus internationalization, deepen integration between Chinese and international students, and cultivate a diverse and inclusive campus culture.

Generations of students have sweated on the pitch, penetrating cultural boundaries, drawn closer to one another through playing and collaboration, and learned respect, understanding, and tolerance through fair competition. The event not only strengthens students’ physical fitness and hones their teamwork spirit but also serves as a sustained, regular platform for communication across background, nationalities, and cultures.
